I haven't seen something better on the market yet. The design is clever and it works great. Easy to install, easy to take on and off, and it stays in place nicely when it's on unlike other guitar supports. Overall excellent.
The only problem is it is a little expensive for what it is, but when you have the best product in the business you can do that. Works very well eliminated my lower back problems, clearly was engineered by intelligent and thorough people.
The only negative I have is that the shorter support doesn’t allow the instrument to be closer to the leg. Otherwise the support is easy to install and adjust. I have a bad back and had difficulty practicing for more than about 30 minutes without back pain. I’m finding that I can now practice for up to two hours without significant back pain. I would recommend this support to anyone wanting to have a better support than simply putting the instrument on their leg.
Pros: easy to put on and off; nice portability. It can be easily folded and kept in the storage of a guitar case.
Cons: not as comfortable as Ergoplay on the leg; installation may not be that easy and might (very unlikely though) cause damage to the guitar. You might want to install it on a less expensive guitar first to get familiar with the installation.
I also own an Ergoplay guitar support. Compared to Ergoplay, Sagework's part (the arc shaped part) where touches the leg is narrower (also harder). Although it doesn't seem a big difference but somehow it's much less comfortable than Ergoplay. I guess the idea was to minimize its size thus maximizing its portability. But maybe it's possible to also provide an option of wider leg support for people who don't mind its wider size but prefer more comfortability.
I'm also hoping the angle between the arc (where touches thre leg) and the two arms can be adjusted freely and finely (not the angle of each individual arm. I know that angle can be adjusted freely and can be fixed by the allen wrench). Currently, there are only certain fixed angles but the best angle for me happens to be somewhere in the middle of two preset angles...
I like this guitar support and recommend it. My rating just shows for me how much it can be improved but it may be perfect for you.
I have purchased 4 of these supports, and extra magnets as well. The best supports I have used in my 50 years performing. I have them in my classical and flamenco guitars, my 7-string, and my Stauffer guitar. Will never use anything else.
